Application
Sulconazole Nitrate: An Imidazole Antifungal Agent with Broad-Spectrum Activity
Sulconazole nitrate is an imidazole derivative antifungal agent. It possesses a broad spectrum of activity in vitro against dermatophytes, yeasts and some Gram-positive bacteria. It is a selective inhibitor of fungal cytochrome P450 dependent enzyme lanosterol 14-α-demethylase. It functions to convert lanosterol to ergosterol which is an essential component of fungal cell membrane. (The product is for research purpose only.)
