Application
比較的選択的なシクロオキシゲナーゼ-2 (COX-2) 阻害剤,ニメスリド
Nimesulide, a sulfonanilide compound, is a relatively selective inhibitor of cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) and is used as a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). Selective inhibition of COX-2 by NSAIDs may have less gastrointestinal toxicity, while inhibition of COX-1 is linked to gastrointestinal ulcer formation. In addition, nimesulide has some unique therapeutic and pharmacological activities. However, nimesulide induced hepatotoxicity is reported.
