SMER28: A Small-Molecular Enhancer of Autophagy
SMER28 has been reported as a small-molecular enhancer of autophagy, inducing autophagy independently of the mTOR pathway. SMER28 has also reported to decrease the levels of Amyloid beta (Aβ) peptide. Therefore, SMER28 may have therapeutic potential for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease and other protein-pathologies.
