Diflunisal: A Nonsteroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs)
Diflunisal is a difluorophenyl derivate of salicylic acid and a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) that inhibits both COX-1 and COX-2.1) In addition, diflunisal has been reported to stabilize transthyretin (TTR) tetramers and prevents amyloid fibril formation in vitro, and diflunisal is expected to use for the treatment of amyloidosis.2,3) (The product is for research purpose only.)
