Application
Alfaxane: A Neurosteroid Action on GABAA Receptors
Alfaxane is a neurosteroid and general anesthetic with minimal cardiorespiratory effects and is used in veterinary practice. There are reports that alfaxalone acts as a positive allosteric modulator on GABAA receptors and, at high concentrations, as a direct agonist of the GABAA receptor. (The product is for research purpose only.)
