Supplemental Product Information:

Previously this product had been labeled as a hydrate form both in product name and molecular formula. The hydrate form had no exclusive CAS RN and used to share the same CAS RN as the anhydrous form.
To avoid any misleading information and since moisture in product is considered as an impurity, we have decided to remove the term 'Hydrate' from product name and 'xH2O' from the molecular formula for such products.
Please use it at ease since there is no difference in product quality, even if you see the previous indications on a part of label.

Application
Ara-G: An Inhibitor of DNA Replication in T-Leukemic Cells

Arabinosylguanine (ara-G) is triphosphorylated by multiple kinases intracellularly to the active nucleotide, ara-GTP, which inhibits the DNA replication in T-leukemic cells. Ara-G is used for the treatment of T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T-ALL) or T-cell lymphoblastic lymphoma (T-LBL). From the 2000s, nelarabine (the 6-methoxy pro-drug of ara-G) have been introduced and used for the treatment of T-All and T-LBL. In organic synthesis, ara-G is used as an intermediate for the synthesis of guanosine analogs. (The product is for research purpose only.)
