Lipid Droplet Staining Dyes
Lipid droplets are cellular organelles used to store lipids such as triglycerides and cholesterol. There is growing evidence for their roles in autophagy1) and cellular senescence.2)
ShoyakuGreen (= TFMAQ-8Ph) is a green fluorescent dye (λex, max = 404 nm, λem, max = 473 nm) which not only has a high specificity for fat droplets but also low cytotoxicity.
PC6S emits strong green fluorescence (λex, maxem, max = 535 nm) and can dye clearly not only cellular lipid droplets but also tissue lipid droplets.
Oil red O is a diazo dye which has been widely used for staining fat cell and lipids, and stains low polar lipids red.

Cyanine Dyes
Light in the near-infrared region has high tissue permeability, underlying its application in deep tissue imaging in vivo. TCI offers near-infrared fluorochromes with absorption and emission wavelengths in the near-infrared region, such as Indocyanine Green (ICG). We are also happy to discuss bulk synthesis by request.
