Application
Thiacloprid: A Neonicotinoid Insecticide
Insecticides with a mechanism of action similar to nicotine [N0079] are called neonicotinoids. Thiacloprid (YRC 2894) is a neonicotinoid (chloronicotinoid) insecticide, and acts as a selective agonist at insect nicotinic acetylcholine receptors (nAChRs) resulting in disruption of the nervous system. Recently, the impact of neonicotinoid pesticides on pollinating insects (e.g. bee) has become a concern. (The product is for research purpose only.)
