Application
Guaiazulene: A Sesquiterpene with Diverse Biological Activities
Chamomile (Matricaria chamomilla L.) is one of the most important medicinal plants native to Southern and Eastern Europe. Extracted from chamomile, guaiazulene is known to reduce inflammation in tissues as an antioxidant. It has been reported that guaiazulene can help to manage various conditions including bacterial infections, tumors, immunomodulation, expectorant, diuretic, diaphoresis, ulcers, dermatitis, proliferation, and gastritis. For your reference, sodium gualenate [S0976], an anti-inflammatory agent, is a water-soluble guaiazulene derivative. (The product is for research purpose only.)
