Cephalothin: A First-Generation Cephalosporin Antibiotic
Cephalothin or cefalotin is a first-generation semisynthetic cephalosporin antibiotic, which is chemically synthesized form 7-aminocephalosporanic acid (7-ACA) [A1266], has been used worldwide since the mid-1960s. It has a broad spectrum of activity against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria.
