Paeoniflorin: The Major Active Component of the Root of Paeonia lactiflora Pallas
Paeoniflorin is the major active component of the root of Paeonia lactiflora Pallas which is a traditional Chinese medicine used for the treatment of pain or inflammatory disorders.1,2) Pharmacological studies suggest that paeoniflorin has diverse effects, including anti-inflammatory,1) anti-hyperglycemic,3) liver-protective,4) neuroprotective,5,6) and anti-proliferative effects.7) (The product is for research purpose only.)
