Application
Deguelin: a naturally occurring rotenoid and an Akt inhibitor
Deguelin is a naturally occurring rotenoid of the flavonoid family contained in several plant species belonging to the legume family such as Derris trifoliata Lour, and has been used as a naturally occurring insecticide. In vitro and in vivo studies suggests that deguelin exerts potent anticancer activity against multiple cancer types and exhibits chemopreventive potential in Akt-inducible transgenic mouse models. (The product is for research purpose only.)
