Application
Asenapine Maleate: A Multi-Receptor Antagonist for 5-HT and Dopamine Receptors
Asenapine maleate is a multi-receptor antagonist and a tetracyclic (atypical) antidepressant agent used for the treatment of schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. The mechanism of action is not completely understood, but neuroscience studies has been suggested that the efficacy of asenapine could be mediated through a combination antagonist activities particularly at 5-HT2A, 5-HT2c, and D2 receptors. (The product is for research purpose only.)
