Application
3-Aminobenzamide: An Inhibitor of Poly (ADP-Ribose) Polymerase (PARP) Enzymes
Genomic instability is a hallmark of cancer and is often the result of altered DNA repair capabilities in tumor cells. Poly (ADP-ribose) polymerases (PARPs) are enzymes responsible for DNA damage detection and repair factor recruitment. PARP inhibitors are able to interact with the binding site for the PARP cofactor NAD+ and trap PARP on DNA, and induce cell death through replication stress-induced mitotic catastrophe. It has been reported that 3-aminobenzamide is a PARP inhibitor and is used for cancer research. (The product is for research use only.)
