Application
Suprofen: A Dual COX-1/COX-2 Inhibitor
Suprofen is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory 2-arylpropionic acid, and binds to the cyclooxygenase-1 (COX-1) and cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) isozymes, preventing the synthesis of prostaglandins and reducing the inflammatory response. In clinical, suprofen is used as a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory analgesic and antipyretic, and a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). In addition, certain NSAIDs (including suprofen) have been also reported to be associated with photosensitive reactions. (The product is for research purpose only.)
