Dioscin is a naturally occurring steroidal saponin found in many traditional Chinese medicinal plants, including Dioscorea nipponica Makino. Dioscin has been reported to have anti-inflammatory, immunoregulatory, hypolipidemic, antiviral, antifungal, and antiallergic effects as well as its anti-cancer activities by regulating multiple targets and multiple signals.
