Application
Thiotepa: An Alkylating Cytotoxic Agent with a Broad Spectrum of Antitumor Activity
Thiotepa (ThioTEPA) is a trifunctional alkylating cytotoxic agent with a broad spectrum of antitumor activity. It is thought to inhibit tumor growth by inhibiting DNA synthesis.1) The major DNA bond cleavages are initiated by alkylation of guanine and adenine at the N-7 position, which breaks the bond between the purine base and the sugar, releasing alkylated guanines and adenines.2) (The product is for research purpose only.)
