Application
Resiquimod: A Toll-Like Receptor Agonist
Resiquimod (R-848) is a tricyclic imidazoquinolone compound and an imiquimod [I0747] analog. Toll-like receptors (TLRs) play an important role in the innate immune response to pathogens. Reportedly, resiquimod act as an immunomodulator and an anti-viral agent through activation immune cells via the Toll-like receptor 7 and 7/8 (TLR7 and TLR7/8) dependent signaling pathway. And then, resiquimod induces mRNA encoding cytokines including interferon-α (INF-α) at the treatment site. (The product is for research purpose only.)
