Application
An Inhibitor of the Induced Expression of Intercellular Adhesion Molecule-1 (ICAM-1) and E-Selection

It is reported that this compound is a potent and selective inhibitor of the induced expression of E-selection and intercellular adhesion molecule-1 (ICAM-1) relative to vascular cell adhesion molecule-1 (VCAM-1). For your information, E-selectin, ICAM-1, and VCAM-1 play a role in cell adhesion to the vascular endothelium. E-selectin is expressed on inflamed vascular endothelial cells in response to treatment with inflammatory cytokines.
