Rimonabant: A Dual Inhibitor of Acyl CoA (cholesterol acyltransferase: ACAT) -1 and 2
Rimonabant and its hydrochloride [R0293] are also dual inhibitors of acyl-CoA (ACAT) 1 and 2, which catalyzes the intracellular synthesis of cholesteryl esters. (The product is for research use only.)

Application
Rimonabant: A Selective Cannabinoid-1 Receptor (CB1) Antagonist.
Rimonabant (SR141716) is a selective cannabinoid-1 receptor (CB1) antagonist. CB1 is a G protein-coupled cannabinoid receptor that are found in the nervous system, and the body uses it to control food intake. It has been reported that rimonabant can help mammals to reduce food intake and to lose weight by blocking CB1 receptors. In clinical, rimonabant was withdrawn in 2008 due to serious psychiatric side effects. (The product is for research purpose only.)
