Application
Brequinar: An Inhibitor of Dihydroorotate Dehydrogenase (DHODH)
Brequinar is a synthetic quinolinecarboxylic acid analogue with antineoplastic and immunosuppressive properties. Brequinar reportedly inhibits the enzyme dihydroorotate dehydrogenase (DHODH) which is catalyzes the conversion of dihydroorotate (DHO) to orotate, the fourth reaction of pyrimidine de novo synthesis. (The product is for research purpose only.)
