lomastat: A Potent And Broad Spectrum Matrix Metalloprotease (MMP) Inhibitor
Matrix metalloproteases (MMPs) are metalloproteinases that are calcium-dependent zinc-containing endopeptidases. MMPs have been reported to play a key role in the degradation and remodeling of the extracellular matrix in various inflammatory diseases. Ilomastat (GM 6001) is a potent and broad-spectrum inhibitor of MMPs. (The product is for research purpose only.)
