Synthesis of the P,N-Chelated Palladium Complex Useful for the Suzuki-Miyaura Cross Coupling Reactions
Experimental procedure: A solution of 3-(diphenylphosphino)-1-propylamine (0.13 g, 0.52 mmol) in CH
2Cl
2 (2.0 mL) is added dropwise to a suspended solution of
Na2PdCl4 (0.076 g, 0.26 mmol) in CH
2Cl
2 (25 mL) and the reaction mixture is stirred at ambient temperature for 2 h. After the reaction, the volume is reduced to
ca. 7 mL and diethyl ether is added to precipitate a whitish powder which is then filtered off and washed with diethyl ether and recrystallized from acetone–dichloromethane. The complex
1 is obtained in 87% yield.
