Application
Perphenazine: A Classical Phenothiazine Typical Antipsychotic
Perphenazine is a classical phenothiazine typical antipsychotic with a potency similar to haloperidol [H0912], a dopamine antagonist. It is extensively metabolized in the liver to a number of metabolites. The pharmacokinetics of perphenazine is mediated by cytochrome P450 2D6 (CYP2D6) and thus is subject to genetic polymorphism. It induces cleft palate in mice fetuses. (The product is for research purpose only.)
