Application
Pilocarpine Nitrate: A Muscarinic Acetylcholine Receptor Agonist
Pilocarpine is an imidazole alkaloid contained in the leaves of Pilocarpus jaborandi and Pilocarpus microphyllus distributed throughout South America. It is a direct acting cholinergic parasympathomimetic agent which acts through direct stimulation of muscarinic acetylcholine receptors (M1, M2, and M3) with low affinity for nicotine receptors. (The product is for research purpose only.)
