Application
MNS: A Potent Antiplatelet Agent with Tyrosine Kinase Inhibitory Activity, and a NLRP3 Inflammasome Inhibitor
MNS, the β-nitrostyrene derivative, is a potent antiplatelet agent with tyrosine kinase inhibitory activity.1,2) It has recently been reported that NLR family pyrin domain-containing protein 3 (NLRP3), a pattern recognition receptor, forms a complex called NLRP3 inflammasome in response to irritating metabolites and pathogens, and induces the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines, Interleukin (IL)-1β and IL-18. MNS has also attracted attention as a NLRP3 inflammasome inhibitor which shows anti-inflammatory activity.3,4) (The product is for research purpose only.)
