Fusaric acid (5-butylpyridine-2-carboxylic acid) is a picolinic acid derivative and an antibiotic first isolated from fungi of the genus Fusarium. Fusaric acid is a mycotoxin, a naturally occurring toxin produced by the fungi, and can cause a variety of adverse effects to living organism. On the other hand, fusaric acid is toxic to some mammalian tumor cell lines. (The product is for research purpose only.)
