Application
SANT-1: A Smoothened (SMO) Antagonist
Smoothened (SMO) is a member of the Frizzled family of seven transmembrane proteins (GPCRs). SMO mediates signal transduction in the hedgehog pathway, which is implicated in normal development and carcinogenesis. It has been reported that SANT-1 is a SMO antagonist which has anti-tumour effect through its ability to bind to smoothened protein.
