Curcumol: A Natural Sesquiterpene with Various Bioactivities
Curcumol is a sesquiterpene originally isolated from Curcuma rhizomes which is a common traditional Chinese medicine.1,2) Pharmacological experiments have demonstrated the ability of the sesquiterpenes including curcumol to exhibit anti-oxidant3), anti-microbial4), anti-tumor4-6) and anti-inflammatory7) activities. (The product is for research purpose only.)
