Application
Panobinostat (LBH589): A Histone Deacetylase (HDAC) Inhibitor
Histone deacetylases (HDACs) catalyze the removal of acetyl groups from the lysine residues of histones and some non-histone proteins and play important roles in maintaining chromatin structure and regulating gene expression, including tumor suppressor genes, and thus represent valid targets in the search for cancer therapeutics. Panobinostat (LBH589) has been reported to inhibit the enzymatic activity of HDACs implicated in cancer and has demonstrated potent anti-tumor activity. (The product is for research purpose only.)
