Application
Tebuthiuron: An Inhibitor of Photosynthetic Electron Transport
Tebuthiuron is a photosystem II (PS II) herbicide which inhibits the photosynthetic electron transfer in photosystem II by binding to the D1 polypeptide. The D1 polypeptide of PSII is encoded by the psbA genes, and is an indispensable component of oxygenic photosynthesis. Tebuthiuron is a soil-applied herbicide used on rangelands to control weeds and brush. (The product is for research purpose only.)
