Plumbagin: A Plant Secondary Metabolite with Many Biological Activities
Plumbagin is one of the plant secondary metabolite of three major phylogenic families, Plumbaginaceae, Droseraceae, and Ebenaceae. Pharmacological studies indicate that plumbagin exhibits many biological activities, such as antitumor, antibacterial, antifungal, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant activities.
