Application
Esculetin: The Main Active Ingredient of the Traditional Chinese Medicine Cortex Fraxini
Esculetin is the main active ingredient of the traditional Chinese medicine Cortex Fraxini with antioxidant properties. Esculetin has shown its various pharmacological effects, including anti-inflammatory, anticoagulant, antioxidant, liver-protective, antidiabetic, antibacterial and antitumor effects. Some reports suggests that esculetin exerts inhibitory effect on lipoxygenase and cell cycle, but the mechanisms of its action are not completely understood. (The product is for research purpose only.)
