Atomoxetine Hydrochloride: A Selective Noradrenaline (Norepinephrine) Reuptake Inhibitor
Atomoxetine hydrochloride is a selective noradrenaline (norepinephrine, [A0906]) reuptake inhibitor (NRI). The selective inhibitions of the noradrenaline transporter (NAT) help to reverse the depletion of neurotransmitters at the synapse. There is evidence to suggest that atomoxetine shows beneficial effect for the treatment of attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), but the precise mechanism is not fully understood. (The product is for research purpose only.)
