高选择性快速钙螯合剂
BAPTA和BAPTA-Na4是高选择性的螯合剂，对Ca2+的选择性高于Mg2+ 1,2)。BAPTA和 BAPTA-Na4是EGTA的衍生物，其氧原子和氮原子之间的碳链被苯环取代。他们对Ca2+的选择性高于EGTA，且结合不受pH影响。其螯合反应速度比EGTA更快，因此，可以通过分析不同螯合剂对递质释放的抑制作用来评估神经元中Ca2+通道和Ca2+传感器之间的距离3)。虽然BAPTA和BAPTA-Na4不可透过细胞膜，但BAPTA-AM(一种BAPTA酯)具有膜渗透性，被细胞内酯酶水解后可与细胞中的Ca2+螯合4)。因此，BAPTA、BAPTA-Na4和BAPTA-AM是研究钙在细胞信号传导中作用的宝贵工具。
