HPMC Encapsulated Reagents for Condensation Reactions

We have line-up of hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC) encapsulated reagents for condensation reactions1,2) according to popular demand. In addition to the existing encapsulated reagent of EDC·HCl/HOBt·H2O (Product No. R0274), we have encapsulated reagent of DMTMM (Product No. R0294), encapsulated reagent of HATU (Product No. R0295) and encapsulated reagent of HOTU (Product No. R0297) as uronium condensing agents, and encapsulated reagent of phosphonium condensing agent (Product No. R0296). These are useful in various situation such as reaction screening and compound library construction.

HPMC Capsule

We have provided procedures of reactions using these products on each product pages, so please refer to them when carrying out reactions and processing.

Advantages

  • Capsule has an outer diameter of 5 mm and a length of 14 mm and contains a preweighed amount of catalyst or reagent.
  • Capsules dissolve in the reaction solution, therefore adding capsules makes it simple to carry out reactions.
  • Dissolves in water, DMSO, DMF, NMP, DMAc, THF/water and dioxane/water. 1)
