Application
Perifosine: An Oral Akt Inhibitor
The PI3K/Akt/mTOR pathway is aberrantly active in most human cancer cells and contributes to cancer cell growth, proliferation, and survival. Perifosine, an alkyl phospholipid, is an oral Akt inhibitor that display potent anti-proliferative activity in human tumor models. Perifosine has been shown to target phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase (PI3K)/Akt signaling. (The product is for research purpose only.)
