Application
Dinotefuran: A Neonicotinoid Insecticide
Insecticides with a mechanism of action similar to nicotine [N0079] are called neonicotinoids. Dinotefuran (MTI-466) is a neonicotinoid insecticide, and works an insect nicotinic acetylcholine receptors (nAChRs) agonist. Dinotefuran consists of E and Z isomers at the nitroguanidine moiety, and R and S optical isomers at the furan moiety. Reportedly, dinotefuran is soluble in water and highly soluble in medium polarity organic solvents such as dichloromethane, acetone, methanol and ethyl acetate. It is stable to hydrolysis in water under acidic and alkaline conditions. (The product is for research purpose only.)
