Application
Phenytoin: A Sodium Channel Blocking Agent
Phenytoin is one of the major antiepileptic agents. The mechanisms of action have not been established. However, it has been suggested that its activity in epilepsy is related to involve the voltage-dependent blockade of membrane sodium channels resulting in a reduction in sustained high-frequency neuronal discharges. (The product is for research purpose only.)
