Application
Cinobufagine: An Antitumor Component of Cinobufacini, a Chinese Traditional Medicine
Cinobufagine (or cinobufagin) is an active component of Cinobufacini (Huachansu), which is a Chinese traditional medicine for various cancers prepared from the skin of the toad Bufo bufo gargarizans Cantor. Pharmacological experiments have demonstrated the antitumor activities of cinobufagine, such as inhibition of cell proliferation, induction of cell differentiation, induction of apoptosis, disruption of the cell cycle, inhibition of cancer angiogenesis, resensitization of cancer cells to chemotherapeutic agents, and regulation of the immune response. (The product is for research purpose only.)
