[Amino acids]
0.5 mL of 20 mM labeling reagent in acetonitrile is put into an amber-glass vial. To this solution, add 0.5 mL of 0.1 M boric acid buffer solution (pH 9.3, containing 1mM EDTANa2) containing several nmol of an amino acid, and incubate at 50 °C for 30 min. After cooling the reaction mixture with ice bath, use it as an HPLC sample.
For example, the detection limit (S/N=3) for proline is 0.11 pmol.
