N-(1-Naphthyl)phthalamic Acid: A Polar Auxin Transporter Inhibitor

N-(1-Naphthyl)phthalamic acid (another name: naphthylphthalamic acid) is mainly used as a herbicide acting as a polar auxin transporter inhibitor. Polar auxin transport is the regulated transport of the plant hormone auxin in plants. Its inhibitor, naphthylphthalamic acid, have been reported to prevent the development of the bilateral growth of the plant embryo during the globular stage. (The product is for research purpose only.)
