Myoseverin (1), one of the 2,6,9-trisubstituted purine derivatives, is a microtubule-binding molecule and inhibits tubulin polymerization.1) 1 induces fragmentation of multinucleated myotubes into mononucleated cells.1,2) It was reported that the derived cells retain the properties of parental myotubes, 2) and the capability to revert to multinucleated tubes after treatment.3)
