Self-Assembled Monolayer Forming Reagent Enabling High Performance Organic Thin-Film Solar Cell
2PACz can form a self-assembly monolayer (SAM) on metal oxide surfaces due to the functionality of its terminal phosphonic acid moiety. 2PACz enhances efficiency, stability, and cost-effectiveness of perovskite solar cells. As a result, the 2PACz-based device shows better performance than those using PTAA hole transport material.1) Recently, 2PACz was further studied in organic thin-film solar cell (OPV), and improvements in power conversion efficiency and stability were observed when compared to the case of PEDOT:PSS. An OPV device with 2PACz-modified ITO electrode and the ternary BHJ (PM6:BTP-eC9:PC71BM) showed a maximum PCE of 18.03%.2)
