Toepassing
(+)-Borneol: A Bicyclic Monoterpene with Broad Spectral Pharmacological Effects
(+)-Borneol is a bicyclic monoterpene present in the essential oil of plants, and is a stereoisomer of (-)-borneol [B1012]. (+)-Borneol shows broad spectral pharmacological effects, such as anti-inflammatory, analgesic, antipyretic properties, and is also used for analgesia and anesthesia in traditional Chinese medicine.1) In addition, there are reported that (+)- and (-)-borneol have a highly efficacious positive modulating action at GABAA receptors.2,3) (The product is for research purpose only.)
