Toepassing
Betrixaban: A Direct Inhibitor of the Factor Xa
Betrixaban (PRT054021) is an oral inhibitor of the serine protease Factor Xa (FXa) that selectively blocks the active site of FXa. FXa activates pro-thrombin in the blood coagulation cascade. Betrixaban decreases thrombin generation by directly inhibiting FXa, but it has no direct effect on platelet aggregation. (The product is for research purpose only.)
