Product Information
Volume/Quantity : 2 mL
Product Form : Protein A agarose is supplied pre-swollen in 20% ethanol.
Preparation : Recombinant Protein A is covalently coupled to agarose gel.
Preservative : 20% ethanol
Description
Protein A is a type I membrane protein produced by several strains of Staphylococcus aureus. It has high-affinity binding sites that enable the purification of IgG obtained from various species such as humans, rabbit, mouse, and bovine. Protein A Agarose is prepared using a covalent coupling method that maintains the stability and binding characteristics of the product.
By using our resin, human IgGs can be eluted under milder conditions (such as at pH 4.0) as compared to elution by conventional methods.
Additional information is available on our website.
Applications
Protein A agarose can be used antibody purification.
Storage
Protein A agarose should be stored in neutral pH at 2-8 ºC in 20% ethanol or other bacteriostatic agent, e.g. sodium azide. The resin must not be frozen.
