Application
A Histone Deacetylase 3 (HDAC3) Selective Inhibitor
Suzuki et al. have reported that this compound (T247) shows potent histone deacetylase 3 (HDAC3) inhibitions, whereas it does not strongly inhibit other isozymes. T247 also induces a dose-dependent selective NF-kB acetylation in human colon cancer HCT116 cells, indicating selective inhibition of HDAC3 in the cells. In addition, T247 induced growth inhibition of cancer cells, and activated HIV gene expression in latent HIV-infected cells. These findings indicate that T247 alone or a combination agent may be useful in the treatment of cancer or HIV infection. (The product is for research purpose only.)
