Application
Thalidomide: An Inhibitor of Angiogenesis

Thalidomide was originally used to treat morning sickness, but was banned as a human teratogen in the 1960s. In the 1990s, thalidomide has been discovered to have anti-inflammatory and anti-angiogenic properties, and is identified as an effective treatment for multiple myeloma. A recently approved amino analogue of thalidomide is pomalidomide [P2074]. (The product is for research purpose only.)
