Application
Chlorfenapyr: A Potent Uncoupler of Oxidative Phosphorylation at the Mitochondria
Chlorfenapyr (AC-303630) is a broad-spectrum pyrrole insecticide for the control of agricultural pests. Chlorfenapyr is a prodrug, and oxidative removal of the N-ethoxymethyl group of chlorfenapyr by oxidases forms an active metabolite which uncouples oxidative phosphorylation at the mitochondria, resulting in disruption of production of ATP, cellular death, and ultimately organism mortality. (The product is for research purpose only.)
